You can get better, or you can get all gooey, and crotchety, old, pathetic, icky, gross. Not me. Not into it.

Thanks for that there life advice shoe horned into today's workout, Tony.

Day 6 brings to a close Week 1, because let's be honest here, no one is picking X Stretch, a literal 1-hour long stretching routine to Rest, a literal 24 hour period where I don't have to give a fuck.  My entire life this week has led up to that sweet, sweet time, where Kenpo X is over and the blessed rest it brings.

Kenpo X is not, in itself, a bad workout routine.  In terms of a cardio routine that focuses on range of motion and moving around your lead legs from yesterday, this workout is shockingly good.  You do move around.  The kenpo karate inspired punches and kids are fun enough.  You can feel the tightness from the prior day, but you don't feel like dying with the exception of the warm-up.  Kenpo X includes a lot of twisting motions.  I am acutely aware of this, since my back sounded like Rice Krispies doused in recovery drink.  Stuff (the proper anatomical term here) is moving and shouldn't, and the stuff that should move isn't.  The only fix is more of this stupid bullshit exercise.

Today's demonstrators include Tony the Marine.  Coming back to this program after the brief period in the early 2000's where it became a phenomenon is weird.  You can look up all these people.  There are websites like this one devoted to ranking them.  Tony the Marine?  The guy who is having THE MOST fun in this entire workout series including making adorable little tiger claw hands has a real name, and it takes astoundingly little googling to find him.   An article from  Illinois State's alumni news states, "In 2012 he was featured in a Time article entitled 'Does God Want You to be Thin?' for his work with Saddleback Church. Led by Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, Saddleback members began an initiative to make fitness a major part of their lives."

This is the most laughable headline I have ever seen.  God made me to store calories, and then let some asshole invent pizza.   He probably wants me to be happy, and maybe healthy, but certainly not thin.
